Shipper- Carrier Collaboration 2.0: What does the new face of collaboration really entail?

Shippers need efficient low cost supply chains to bring in their supplies and transport their goods to market.  Industry experts have been warning shippers for years to establish core carrier programs with their key transportation company “partners” to ensure they receive the trailers and containers they need when the inevitable “capacity crunch” hits the freight market.  But many shippers display limited carrier loyalty as they continue to conduct annual freight bids in search of lower freight rates. This track, composed of two shippers and two carriers, will discuss the issues, hurdles and opportunities that exist in working together in a more collaborative and less adversarial way.
