John started his career with a public accounting firm, and received his professional accounting designation in 1990. He has been with the Canadian Transportation Agency for more than 26 years. Starting as a financial analyst reviewing Canadian ownership regulations, then moving to audit services. As Audit Manager his team worked on verifying railway accounting information for rail subsidies, standardized rail maintenance costs and the Maximum Revenue Entitlement. Moving to Manager of Rail Investigations, John was responsible for all rail adjudication cases brought to the Agency, including level of service, unreasonable terms and conditions, interswitching, crossings and noise and vibration. Currently, John is the Team Leader of Mediation Services, and works on facilitation, mediation and arbitration for all modes of transport.
